Continuing from Part 2. The boy pointed. The mother recognized him. The killer was dragged into the open. But the boy isn't finished — he's been carrying something in his pocket.

They Had the Wrong Person... Until the Boy Spoke

The courtroom was no longer calm.

Only minutes earlier, the mysterious man in the gray coat had been exposed in front of everyone. Police officers now held him tightly near the back exit while reporters flooded the room with flashing cameras and endless questions. Spectators whispered in panic. The victim's mother sat frozen in shock, unable to process what she had just witnessed.

Marcus Vale remained at the defense table in handcuffs, staring silently at the chaos around him.

For the first time since the trial began, people were no longer looking at him with fear.

They were looking at him with doubt.

Had the city been wrong all along?

The little boy stood alone in the center aisle wrapped in a police officer's jacket. His clothes were still wet from the storm outside, but despite his fear, he hadn't stopped shaking for one simple reason:

He knew the truth wasn't fully out yet.

Just as officers prepared to remove the real suspect from the courtroom, the boy suddenly spoke again.

"Wait."

The single word cut through the noise instantly.

The courtroom slowly fell silent.

Even the judge leaned forward.

With trembling hands, the child reached into his torn jacket pocket and carefully pulled out a small cracked voice recorder. Old. Scratched. Barely functioning.

People exchanged confused looks as the boy handed it to one of the officers near the judge's bench.

Nobody knew what was on it.

The officer pressed play.

At first, only static filled the courtroom speakers.

Then a man's voice appeared.

Cold. Calm. Clear.

"She saw my face..."

The courtroom froze.

Marcus slowly lifted his head.

The recording continued:

"Marcus Vale was perfect for it. Everyone already feared him."

A wave of horror spread across the room.

The victim's mother instantly recognized the voice. Her entire body collapsed back into the bench as tears filled her eyes. Across the courtroom, the wealthy man in the gray coat suddenly lost all composure, struggling violently against the officers holding him.

But it was too late.

The truth was no longer a rumor.

It was evidence.

For years, Marcus Vale had been judged by his scars, his appearance, and the fear people projected onto him. The city had already decided what kind of man he was long before the trial even began.

And the real killer had used that perfectly.

As reporters rushed forward filming every second and the courtroom erupted once again, Marcus sat completely still, overwhelmed by something he thought he would never experience again:

Hope.

Meanwhile, the little boy stood quietly in the center of the room, terrified but brave enough to do what nobody else would.

Tell the truth.
